The Deirdre O’Mara School of Irish Dance is the perfect blend of a competitive and noncompetitive Irish dance school. The option is available for either curriculum. You choose for your child, and you can move between the two with ease. In addition to Irish dance, ballet, stretch & boot camp classes are also offered. I have total trust and confidence in my child’s well being and dance career under the care of Deirdre and her wonderful staff. She has brought her from a non-dancer to a World Champion level dancer. Happy child, happy dancer.

Rory Donoghue

My daughter started dancing in the Deidre O’ Mara school when she was only 3 years old. Three years later Rory remains interested and excited to go to class each week. She is becoming more confident in her dancing and looks forward to class each week. This is attributed directly to the teachers at the school. Each are caring and engaging but also firm to help these kids learn a skill and stay healthy. As a parent I really appreciate how flexible Deidre is with scheduling and costs. I also value the fact Rory has the flexibility to grow and learn at her own speed. I feel like we are apart of something bigger vs. just taking a class. I look forward to many more years with the Deirdre O’Mara school!

Clara Baldwin

Clara started with Deirdre at age 5. Deirdre helped Clara to develop her love of dancing and understand the art of this great sport. She started competing at age 7, and now has developed into a wonderful dancer. Deirdre never pushed Clara until she felt that Clara was ready, and, even then, gave her the gentle push that she needed. The studio is a safe environment, where Clara has made great dance friends over the years. Clara has never once said she doesn’t want to go to class; she gets excited and loves the warmups with Michael. Sean’s caring touch encourages her to become a great dancer and compete with confidence. He is always telling Clara that “she can do it” and to “enjoy every minute”. Deirdre is great at how flexible she is with all the costs, dresses, and classes, which helps a lot. It is very much appreciated. We are a part of a magnificent dance family.

I found the Deirdre O’Mara School of Irish Dance, completely by chance. My oldest daughter wanted to try and the days of classes suited my schedule at the time. We have never looked back! The environment in the school is warm and loving, and when I drop my girls there, I know they are safe. It provides the competitive side of Irish dance with opportunities for them to give back to the community. We have gotten to travel with the school to Regional, National and World Championships. The kids work hard at a sport they love, and have fun while doing that. They have made some of their best friends there.
